Trace is a Long Runner Forensic Drama, so it's inevitable to have really scary imagery. Let's remember some of it:

  • The very first frames of the series and it's opening Multi-Part Episode "Bite of the Lancehead" show kid Strapped to an Operating Table and screaming in terror before being killed (and having their organs stolen not for sale, but as following of destructive cult.
  • "Head Hunter" starts with woman who saw her lover sitting behind the steering wheel of his car with the bag on the head. When she takes it off, she sees his head 'skinless. And he turns out to be one of the multiple victims of Serial Killer, whose motivation is childhood resentment.
  • Similarly named episode "Head Hunters" starts with popular model posing for the photoshoot. Then, camera shows her beheaded body with the head in her hands. And there are a lot of victims facing the same fate. Perp's interrogation in the end of the episode gives Creepy Monotone and Slasher Smile vibes which are pretty unnerving.
  • "Beyond" shows victims tied to chair and choked to death with plastic bag. The most scary part of the story is that they were resuscitated before their death, so their struggle was prolonged. The epiosde ends with Dunaeva's visions which tell us of her clinical death.
  • "Princesse and Peas" starts with a woman wearing only her lingerie. She is then Bound and Gagged and strangled to death while standing on her knees on the peas with camera showing her struggle. And there is another victim facing the same fate.
  • Ending of "Black on White" Multi-Part Episode's part 1 features Belaya being shot to the head. It's Pretty Little Headshot with blood, but seeing one of the FES squad members lifelessly watching to the sky lying in the blood is really scary and depressing. Don't be afraid, she survives.
