This is Mojo at his first, and arguably his most dangerous, plan.
- The movie begins with an explosion in the bank building, quickly establishing how dangerous Townsville was before the creation of the Powerpuff Girls.
- As Utonium finishes buying the ingredients, Fuzzy robs a supermarket cashier in front of him, with his boomstick in hand. How his eyes are drawn makes him look insane and outright creepy. The professor can only walk away resigned as he doesn't have the power to stop him.
- Let's just say before the Powerpuff Girls knew how to use their powers to fight crime, the Gangreen Gang were actually very threatening... it didn't help that Arturo's and Grubber’s sudden appearances were jumpscares and the gang looked a lot more menacing in the movie due to their expressive and upgraded animation. Especially with Billy, Ace, and Snake ominously towering above the girls and laughing.
- Ace punching the Professor. It’s dark out, which makes the Gangreen Gang look creepier.
- Ace makes a Slasher Smile when mugging an old lady. The face he makes afterward when Blossom kicks him is just... grotesque.
- The girls' unwelcome return to Pokey Oaks after it had been destroyed by their tag game. The animators did a masterful job conveying pure fury and malice in the eyes of the students.
- The Professor gets arrested after the girls destroy the city during a game of tag, and he’s sadly begging to be let out. If Mojo hadn’t saved the girls, who knows what would have happened?
- The girls' first encounter with Mojo Jojo has a moment right after he saved them. After he pulled a Playing the Victim Card, they are trying to comfort him as he turns his back to them and stands in the shadow with only his eyes visible... then, as he starts figuring out his plan to manipulate them, a creepy grin becomes visible to the viewers below the eyes.
- Seeing Mojo’s brain grow through the top of his skull. He arranges for the same thing to happen to hundreds of primates that he takes from the zoo to kick-start his apocalypse. Only this time, it's even slower and you see them convulse in agony as they undergo the process.
- After the monkeys take over Townsville, a dejected Professor admits that he doesn’t know what to believe anymore and he thought the girls were good. Devastated, the sisters fly to a space rock, while Bubbles cries over her sisters fighting. If they hadn’t eventually gone back to save everyone, they would be homeless orphans forever.
- Mojo kidnapping the Professor and absorbs the chemical X to turn himself into a giant. The background is ominously dark during this sequence.
- In his giant form, before the girls crash into him, Mojo holds a street light with three frightened citizens clutching onto it, and it looks as though he's about to eat them!
- Bubbles basically hugs a monkey to death. Not so cute now, is she?
- Seeing the damage caused both during the game of tag and the monkey takeover, there must have been a pretty high body count. Especially since a car broke a window, a vast metal ball rolled off a building, and the monkeys had some very powerful weapons. Not to mention people have been mauled and killed by primates in real life.
- During the gorilla war Buttercup has to take detours repeatedly to save the Talking Dog who comes this close to being drowned, crushed by a steamroller, and cut to pieces by a rain of glass shards. And he is only one example as babies and adult civilians alike also get too many close calls.
