At the beginning of the film, Douglas-Stewart has the demons burn down a village in nearby Zaimokucho. Once we get our look at the village, there are screams of a massive crowd as they flee from the conflagration. When the villagers get to a safe distance, they can only look in horror as the demons fly in the sky. Doubles as a Tear Jerker.
The Japhkiels. Tanuma gets frightened when one of them malfunctions at the Douglas Stewart warehouse. Later, it gets much worse when Maria Tachibana infiltrates the warehouse only to find that the Japhkiels themselves are actually the demons featured throughout the series.
Orihime being hypnotized by Patrick against her will can catch people off-guard. The Flower Division is forced to fight her after defeating the demons with the Imperial Capital Barricade Formation technique. Then, when Ratchet decides to kill Orihime over Sakura's objections, Orihime fires of a group of fireballs that separate the group. After Leni's Eisenkleid gets destroyed, Orihime is about to attack the Flower Division again but fails to the point where her Eisenkleid is destroyed. Appropriately enough, Leni has an "Oh, Crap!" moment.
Brent Furlong's One-Winged Angel form is powerful enough to critically damage Ratchet's Eisenkleid and No-Sell the Flower Division's attacks. Not to mention that his voice sounds a lot more menacing. When Ogami finally makes his return to help the Flower Division, Brent suffers a disturbing Villainous Breakdown.
