Nightmare Fuel / Return to Never Land

• The Darling family's home is being ravaged by war. When Wendy's hiding in the bomb shelter with Danny, she has no idea where her daughter is. On Jane's side, she's in the middle of London with Nana II during a bombing, dodging trucks and soldiers as she tries to get back home.
• Jane's situation in Neverland could terrify anyone. She gets kidnapped by pirates being mistaken for her mother, used as bait for Peter Pan, and ends up alone while a storm was active.
• Captain Hook gets a bit of an upgrade in villainy here. He's still over-the-top and hilarious but he comes off as more sinister, and more of a threat to Jane than anyone else this time around. He was willing to kidnap and kill Wendy, a child who did nothing to provoke him other than warn Peter of his In the Back move in the original, just to get rid of Peter Pan for good; said kidnapping was in the dark, and his entrance came off as a killer in a slasher film successfully getting inside the house. Then of course, in the Climactic Battle, after having enough of Jane ruining his plans, he goes into a homicidal rage and comes dangerously close to killing her, with only Jane getting away by being only a little faster. Hell, he nearly decapitated her in one attempt!
• The Octopus's introduction was also not quite as comedic compared to the Crocodile, as they had to lure him out instead. It becomes Nightmare Retardant afterwards once it's gotten the same appetite for Hook like the croc before it.
