He doesn't look so silly anymore, does he?
- Granted, the oily man entity may look rather cheesy from afar, but when the film decides to have the camera up-close on the monster's face, with its Glowing Eyes of Doom glaring at the audience...
- The thought of a random nobody suddenly being granted insane superpowers and going on an unstoppable killing spree. That's really unnerving.
- More than once, the oily man demonstrates the ability to dissolve itself into a puddle of living goo and infiltrate his victim's homes through the toilet. Imagine a vengeful liquid monster infiltrating your home next time you're in the shower, and you can NEVER see it coming.
- What's even worse is the fact that the oily maniac is a monster made of crude oil. It's implied in the film that he literally smothered some of his victims to death using petroleum jelly, given the amount of oil splattered on their corpses.
- Imagine fighting an indestructible, Nigh-Invulnerable monster which can regenerate itself from any injuries within seconds. It can hurt you, but you can't hurt it, and it will NOT stop until you're dead.
