* The second line of dialogue in the game immediately lets the player know that the narm didn't go anywhere after the first game. For reference, we see a truck driver who's had a sizable chunk of his bicep bitten off by a zombie. Instead of the horror and panic one might expect from a normal person, this guy acts more annoyed than anything, like he got bitten by a mosquito instead, you know, the living dead. The line itself, however, is what seals the deal:
-->"That guy's a maniac! WHAHDEBAHTME?!"Supposed to be "Why'd he bite me?!", but the delivery is exactly as it's written.

* Leon carries an AdaptationalAngstUpgrade that makes him seem like he's a lot more aloof, suffering PTSD over Raccoon City and perhaps even a fair bit depressed, with sunken bags beneath his eyes giving his face a darker appearance. Which makes his quips all the more noticeable compared to the original game; whereas the original reeked of Camp across the script, here it makes it feel like Leon is LeaningOnTheFourthWall and intentionally playing up the one-liners just to downplay the DarkerAndEdgier nature of the game. This even culminates in an IncrediblyLamePun out of nowhere against Saddler in the final encounter.

** The Third Person Mode itself carries a level of narm with it because of how directly they translated Ethan's animations from first-to-third person. You wouldn't think much about him always carrying his gun or knife on the ready until you actually see him awkwardly holding his weapons at all times in those poses, he constantly has awkward snaps from interactions to his neutral pose in a way the surrounding remakes didn't, and certain scenes such as the early underground chase sequence just look weird seeing Ethan doofily jog about like normal with his hands cuffed in front of him.

* Claire gets an AdaptationalAngstUpgrade, freaking out and being horrified much like a real civilian would in her impossible circumstances. Leon becomes an AdaptationalBadass, tackling the Raccoon City Incident with little hesitation like his Resident Evil 4 self compared to his genuine rookie depiction in the original game. It becomes hilarious to effectively see the two having SwappedRoles if you're used to other depictions in the series.

* Ethan's very dramatic "WHY!?!" was a very good delivery after Chris shoots Mia multiple times and Todd Soley emoting in the trailer. In the game proper, the exact scene happens, and... Ethan sounds disappointed instead of shocked when it happens as he sounds as if Chris only came in to ruin their date instead of tearful rage he had in the trailer.

** Ark in general sounds like a teenager or young adult soft-yelling throughout much of the game, as if he's really trying not to wake up the neighbors in the recording, and suffers from the script and voice direction making him awkwardly and dorkishly formal in how he talks about things. Where it takes the cake though is the "as long as we have fuel" line above, though -- where he suddenly speaks softly and sounds completely different from the rest of the game, as if either the actor didn't even bother putting on the character's voice or he outright got replaced for the very last two lines.

* Marcus' joyous line of "...and the world will BURN in an INFERNO OF HATE! AHAHAHAHAHA!" was so cheesy. It didn't help that his old man form looked a lot like Creator/PeterCushing.

* Early in the game, Ethan is supposed to take Rose to the bedroom, and while interactions with her is heartwarming, it is undermined by the fact that you can quick-turn when holding her. Modders discovered that when viewed in third person, Ethan holds Rose like an item when he does this.

* In the remake, the Bella sisters make their entrance by slashing through a wall right in of Leon with their chainsaws. Leon "dodges" the attack by backflipping off the wall - a move which arguably puts him in more danger of being cut, especially when a simple step backwards could have achieved the same thing. It gives off the same trying-too-hard vibe as the cutscenes in VideoGame/MetalGearSolid - The Twin Snakes.

* There's a moment in the middle of the final boss battle where Chris Redfield needs to push a boulder out of his way; he gets so caught up in the moment he resorts to sucker-punching the boulder with all his might. If this doesn't qualify as narm, nothing does...which is amplified by how Chris has been spending the game shaking off the pain from every time he punched his enemies in the face.

* Jessica Sherawat is hard enough to take seriously when she has lines like "Me and my sweet ass are on the way". But her wetsuit design is... well, Yahtzee put it nicely:
-->When I first saw her wet weather gear, I had to run my in-game scanning device over her to make sure she hadn't contracted some kind of infection from air kissing Jean Paul Gaultier. It's some kind of purple-striped wetsuit with one leg cut off, a skintight balaclava, and an Elizabethan collar. We have a uniform, lady, because in these games usual policy is to shoot the things that look retarded.

* Nemesis himself takes some serious AdaptationalWimp in the remake. JustHitHim constantly applies, where he seems to take pauses, throw Jill around, fire rocket shots that never quite seem on-the-mark in cinematics, and patiently wait for the boss fight to start before he starts really using his flamethrower, among other issues. The most infamous moment is Jill rising up a ladder- only to get a JumpScare of him grabbing her by the head at the top, where it plays a Beat moment for Jill to finally realize what happened before he throws her out across the roof. What should in theory be a nastier and more aggressive Nemesis instead comes off as a cheap, lazy knockoff that doesn't even attempt to live up to the original's legacy outside of maybe one sequence early game where he actually chases you.

* The remake has a file written by the scientist who created the Regenerador which turns into an ApocalypticLog in a way that's both extremely abrupt and somewhat anticlimactic.
-->Third page: I shared the news of my achievement with that pretentious bastard colleague of mine. His face went white! Then, he started scribbling something in his notebook. I thought he'd be impressed, but instead he actually had the nerve to warn me of the so-called dangers. He's a fool. I have everything under control.\\

** It's pointed out in-universe that this version of Krauser was Leon's teacher and squad commander (a master and student vibe), not comrades of equal footing. So his disdain for Leon, while in no way excusable, makes sense. Not to mention all of baggage on this Krauser's shoulders.

* In the remake, after Chris saves Rebecca from a Hunter - despite the fact that she needed his help and there's zero reason to split up, he tells her "You're on your own now... stay cool!" and gives her an awkward thumbs up. This just makes it look like Chris has social anxiety and is trying to bullshit an excuse for why she can't come with him.
