Mythology Gag / Kamen Rider Amazons

Go To

  • Amazon Alpha's design is very similar to Kamen Rider Amazon's Pre-Amazon form shown in Pre-Stage, an SIC Hero Saga story.
  • All of the Amazons wear Amazons Registers, armlets that resemble the Gigi Armlet that was the original Amazon's Transformation Trinket.
  • The Cool Bike Junglaider is modeled as a homage to the original Amazon's Jungler. As mentioned by producer Shinichiro Shirakura, the name is also a reference to the Gills Raider. Funnily enough, the Junglaider was created from the actual Gills Raider motorcycle.
  • The shape of the Amazons Driver is based on original Amazon's Condorer Utility Belt, with its Condorer Core being named in homage to. However, while the Amazons Driver is a transformation device, the Condorer was not.
  • The Battler Grip of the Amazons Driver functions in a manner similar to Kamen Rider X's Ridol, as it can reconfigure into different weapons.
  • Just like in Amazon, the Mole Amazon is a Defector from Decadence and helps out the Pest Exterminators.
  • Once again: Spider first, then Bat.
  • Other Amazons whose motifs are derived from Beastmen include Ant, Crab and Wasp.
  • Nozama Pharmacy, anyone?note
  • Similar to Kamen Rider 555, the Ridersnote  are named after a letter from the Greek alphabet.
  • Amazon Omega's helmet design & color scheme is based on the original Kamen Rider Amazon's early design by Shotaro Ishinomori.
  • Omega's Violent Punish could be considered a modern re-imagining of the original Kamen Rider Amazon's Wild Slashnote  attack.
  • The series starts with two Riders that have the same type of belt, one of them red; they later meet a third undead Rider; and finally, (as of Season 2) a fourth Rider with a different belt surfaces. Sounds familiar...
  • As par the course, Yugo’s last name is a reference to Tobei Tachibana from the early Showa era shows.
  • Die Set Down, the ending theme of season 2, is named in homage to "Dai Setsudan"note , the original Amazon's Finishing Move.
  • In Season 2, Jin's temporary blindness being reflected in his Amazon form resembles the original Amazon, whose eyes turned from his usual red to yellow when he was blinded by the Owl Beastman (#19).
  • Unlike his predecessors, Amazon Neo's eyes are behind a yellow visor, and the visor design is more like the hybrid of Kamen Rider Faiz's Ultimate Finder and Kamen Rider Drive's Multi-high Beam Eye.
  • Amazon Neo has some similarities with Riderman: both are the fourth rider in their world, both are able to change their right arm into various tools and weapons, and both have clashed with the main protagonist.
  • When Iyu starts regaining memories of her old life she starts going into a Madness Mantra, just repeating "father, mother, sister" to herself. This also alludes to the OP and part of the premise of Kamen Rider V3.
