24: The Musical is a fan-made musical based on the second season of FOX's hit drama 24. The music and lyrics were written by Jon And Al Kaplan and it also features the 24 soundtrack music of Sean Callery. It parodies both the general elements of 24, as well as specifics from the show's second season, such as the hacking off of Marshall Goren's head and the infamous "trapped in a woods with a cougar" sequence. 24: The Musical includes many of the familiar tropes of 24'', as well as the following:
- Affectionate Parody: Of 24, obviously, and it shows.
- Angry Mob Song: "Three Countries In The Middle East", though it's a pretty small crowd (the president's advisers).
- Backup Bluff: In "I Will Torture You", the president calls Jack and tells him expressly to not kill Ali's innocent family as a means of getting him to talk, as it's "just not the way we work here". Jack affirms that he understands, and then returns to Ali and bluffs that the call was the president giving him a blank check to do whatever is necessary to get the information from Ali.
- Death Song: "Someone Had To Volunteer"
- Dark Reprise: "Dammit! (The Longest Day of My Life) Reprise and Finale"
- The Eleven O'Clock Number: "Coliseum Fight"
