Boy I, boy I, boy I know. I know I get the feels. Boy, I, boy I, boy I know. I know you feel it too.
"The Feels" is the official debut English single by K-pop girl group TWICE. The song was released as a stand-alone single on October 1, 2021, and later appeared as a bonus track on their third Korean full album, Formula of Love. This is technically their second English single (following a Japan-exclusive cover of "I Want You Back" and excluding promo singles for the English versions of "More & More" and "I Can't Stop Me") but the first to be released and promoted internationally.

This was the song that Twice performed in 2022 for their first in-person US TV appearance. It also made them the second female Korean act (after BLACKPINK with "Ddu-Du Ddu-Du") to receive a gold certification from the RIAA.

The music video has a loose story with a prom theme, with the Twice members receiving an invitation that was slipped under the door. The girls are seen preparing for it in a pink room with a large wardrobe. The second part of the video shows the members attending the prom, which has a deep blue theme with balloon arches and a throne for the prom queen. The group has a dance performance near the end. The main portion of the video ends with a sign that teases a new album and upcoming tour, as well as activities for their sixth anniversary.

Twice member Jeongyeon was on hiatus due to health issues while the group was promoting the song, so she was unable to promote with them and also missed the first two shows of the subsequent tour. The video for the Benny Benassi remix, released in February 2022, was made of footage from those shows.

Watch the music video here.

You have stolen my tropes (oh, yeah):

  • Alternate Music Video: The video for the Benny Benassi remix drops the concept in favor of concert footage of the first two shows of Twice 4th World Tour III.
  • Changed for the Video: The video adds a bass intro to a song that otherwise has a Lyrical Cold Open.
  • Concept Video: A loose one themed around the Twice members attending the prom.
  • Cupid's Arrow: Mentioned briefly in the song and symbolized later with an arrow being shot through a crown.
  • Dancing Is Serious Business: The messages on the left of the blue stage read "If you can't be the prom queen, be at least the dancing queen" and "Never miss a chance to dance."
  • Disco: The song has a disco beat that hints at Formula of Love being largely disco-influenced.
  • Family-Friendly Firearms: Tzuyu has a blow dryer instead of a gun to point when she says "Shoot! I'm ready, aim and fire."
  • Great Balls of Fire!: Fireworks pyrotechnics are briefly seen during the climactic dance performance.
  • Love at First Sight: The song, according to Chaeyoung, "is about falling in love at first sight and how we should stay true to our feelings when we’re struck with love."
  • The Prom Plot: A loose one that borders being a Random Events Plot. The girls receive a prom invitation slipped under their door. They fantasize about being recognized as prom celebrities, with lots of people taking pictures of them. Jihyo tosses a bunch of outfits from the wardrobe. The members dance on and off the stage. Mina is dubbed the prom queen, only for her crown to be yanked away by Chaeyoung. Tzuyu joins Mina in the reading of a scrapbook. The girls dance on another stage with confetti and pyrotechnics.
  • The Stinger: After the song and the "Will Return" Caption, there is a credits sequence paired with footage of the girls and others dancing casually.
  • Translated Cover Version: Formula of Love has a (mostly) Korean version written by Chaeyoung. The parts by Jeongyeon were not re-recorded, likely because of her hiatus.
  • "Will Return" Caption: At the end of the main part of the video, there is a sign announcing a new album and tour for Twice.
