Below the Tropes:

  • Apocalypse How: "Terminus" seems to describe this. We think.
  • Darker and Edgier: It has a much darker instrumentation and sound, and that's not getting to the incredibly bleak lyrical themes. Conversely, it's actually musically lighter than the band's usual style of crazy intense Noise Rock, it's just an incredibly melancholy listen that has not undeservedly been compared to Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
  • Distinct Double Album: Leaves Turn Inside You, clocking in at a hefty 76 minutes. Though the discs are actually labeled "2" and "3", implying that the band consider Challenge for a Civilized Society to be the true first disc and the record is actually a triple album.
  • Last Note Nightmare: "Who Cares", despite it being a polka number after the usual rock stuff, does give off a sense of unease after the somber, bleak album that preceded it.
  • Minimalistic Cover Art: It just features the band's name across a black background. in a gothic font in the style of no letter 'O' spelling it as "unwnd".
  • New Sound Album: Compared to the rest of the bands discography
  • Xtreme Kool Letterz: The bands name on the album cover is spelt this way.

I meant for something new
To make anything true
Is part of what I do
Never coming back to you
