Emily Janes (b. circa 1994) is a pop singer from Perth. She began musical training at a young age, learning violin and piano at age three, as well as taking singing lessons.

She has performed in many productions including Boy From Oz alongside Hugh Jackman and trained at various institutions including WAAPA and New York Film Academy. She has completed Stage 1 to 4 of AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board), one of the most prestigious Music Examinations boards in Australia.

In June 2012 she courted controversy for her song "Freak On", written by hip-hop artist Dialekt and Andrew Wright. The song has come under fire for excessive use of AutoTune, repetitive lyrics, an age-inappropriate theme and a cheaply-made video which has so far gathered a disproportionate amount of "dislikes" on Website/YouTube. Because of these elements she has been compared to Music/RebeccaBlack. However, arranged meetings with "interested parties" in New York, and made plans to release her debut album, Contrast, later in 2012. However, after two singles the project seems to have fizzled out.

!!This musicians displays examples of:
* EightiesHair: Big hair is featured when Emily goes for a makeover in "Freak On".
* AgeInappropriateArt: She sings about clubs when she's one year too young to enter one.
* AutoTune: There's quite a bit of it in "Freak On".
* ChildProdigy: If the whole "talent-at-a-young-age" thing is anything to go by...
* HiddenDepths: "Invincible" shows her vocal prowess to full effect, stripping back the synths and letting her voice carry a jazzy tune. Unlike "Freak On", this video has a significantly better "like" to "dislike" ratio.
* InDaClub: "Freak On". And how.
* NiceShoes: She wears impossibly high heels in "Freak On".
* Pop: Like "Music/Friday", "Freak On" is essentially a distillation of everything that made pop music in the late 00s and early 10s.
* Stripperiffic: Some of her outfits in "Freak On" fall under this trope.
* Synthpop
* ThreeMinutesOfWrithing: "Freak On".
