Miss Isshiki Wants to Know About Love (一式さんは恋を知りたい, Isshiki-san wa Koi wo Shiritai) is a Japanese Romantic Comedy Manga written and illustrated by Araragi Ayune, which began serialization in Monthly Shonen Ace in December 26, 2020. It is a remake of Araragi's previous manga Ms. Rinna's Lovesickness! (リンナ警部は呼吸ができない, Rinna Keibu wa Kokyuu ga dekinai), which shares almost the same premise, but it was serialized in Ichijinsha's Gekkan ComicRex from April 27, 2017 to January 27, 2018 and and compiled into three volumes. Before Volume 3 of this manga, it was known as Fullmetal Rinna wants to XX (鋼鉄のリンナは××されたい, Koutetsu Rinna wa XX saretai).
In a certain Police Department, Rookie Inspector Meishi Rokutanda has gotten involved recently with the beautiful Senior Inspector prodigy Rinna Isshiki, nicknamed in the precinct as Fullmetal Rinna, by her stern, cool, and levelheaded attitude. A prodigy who graduated from college at seventeen years old, she's normally a hardened policewoman who is the most capable and valuable member of the station, but she has a little problem that has been troubling her sometime ago. It's not a complicated police case, or some trouble within internal affairs...it's just that she has never experienced love! And when Meishi is involved in many situations with Rinna, she can't stop thinking about Meishi and her serious attitude begins to falter. After Meishi and Rinna catch a thief, Rinna questions if her feelings for Meishi are indeed, love. Meishi then proposes to her that the two will pretend to be a couple so Rinna can focus more on her work. She accepts, but soon those feelings will keep flowering between two people, that are completely inexperienced in love.
This manga provides examples of:
- Adaptational Location Change: Ms. Rinna's Lovesickness! was set in London, UK. Here, the setting is moved to Japan.
- Defrosting Ice Queen: Rinna was not called "Fullmetal Rinna" for nothing. She would like to keep her personal and professional life separated and that's the reason for her attitude (at least, when Meishi is not nearby).
- Grade Skipper: Rinna is such a prodigy that she gradated from college at only seventeen years old.
