* 'Film/{{Oppenheimer}}'': Quite a great deal of the cast, such as Casey Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Kenneth Branaugh, Dane DeHaan, and Benny Safdie, are more classically attractive than the real people they play. It's most notable with the rather plain, frumpy Kitty Oppenheimer being played by Emily Blunt. Slightly averted with Oppenheimer himself, as while the real Oppenheimer didn't have Cillian Murphy's PrettyBoy looks, he did have startlingly blue eyes and prominent cheekbones.

In the Disney episodes, he is portrayed by Fess Parker, who at 6'5" and broad-shouldered, well, let's just say there are a lot of words one could use to describe him, but "short" and "scrawny" are not two of them.

** John Smith's appearance was changed to suit modern tastes, giving him a leonine mane of blonde hair. The real John Smith had a very out-of-date beard, and who knows what he looked like beneath that thing. As a career soldier and explorer, however, he was probably quite fit.
