--and the turning of his luck is easily conveyed via a few disapproving glances from the ladies. When they leave, you know what's happened.

These girls may be dressed like tramps, showgirls, or even classy ladies, but they are ''always'' good looking and seem to materialize out of nowhere.

* Happens in ''Film/RushHour'' when Chris Tucker's character is gambling.
* In ''Film/GetShorty'', the character Leo is a schlub who faked his death and fled to Vegas with insurance money. While there, he becomes an extraordinarily lucky gambler and is surrounded by these.
* In the "Let's Face the Music and Dance" sequence in ''Film/FollowTheFleet,'' Creator/FredAstaire's character is surrounded by several groupies as he gambles. They quickly snub him when he loses all his money.

* Subverted in a Literature/PhoenixForce novel. David Carter picks up such a woman while gambling, but she ends up walking off in a snit because he prefers to keep gambling away his winnings instead of [[NotDistractedByTheSexy going off with her]]. Then he gets the AvengersAssemble call, throws in all his money and loses that too.

* Reid picks up one of these in ''Series/CriminalMinds'' as he plays video poker in a casino. He shocks her by walking away from his machine and giving her his two thousand dollar winnings when she says something that causes him to realize how to solve the case.
** In another episode, the killer is a compulsive gambler who believes his luck improves when he kills someone. He gains one of these after his first murder. After his luck fades and she abandons him, he kills her to get another boost.
* In ''Series/{{CSI}}'', two bodies of the week were women of this kind. [[spoiler:They were running a con to steal the bankcards and PIN of winning gamblers by hanging all over them at appropriate moments.]]
