* The BigBad of ''VideoGame/HorizonZeroDawn'' is a sci fi version of this trope. The the BigGood, Gaia, is an AI designed to rebuild Earth's biosphere AfterTheEnd. Gaia has several sub-programs that handle different parts of the process, all named after Greco-Roman deities. Among them was Hades, the program responsible for destroying a dead end biosphere so that Gaia could start over. The game proper deals with a malfunctioning Hades that's trying to destroy a perfectly viable biosphere.
