The Shadow Game series is a trilogy written by Amanda Foody. It is a Young Adult Fantasy that takes place in a world where people are born with magic, and a revolution against old kings happened less than two decades ago. Enne arrives in New Reynes, intent on finding her missing mother and immediately leaving, but ends up being pulled into dealings with gangs and a casino owner. Luckily, she has the help of native Levi Glaisyer as she searches for her mother, discovers how dark the city is, and learns what secrets it holds.
Beginning in 2018 and ending in 2020, the series consists of:

The Shadow Games contains examples of:
- Encyclopedia Exposita: Enne keeps a tight hold on her guidebook to the "City of Sin", and quotes from it are used to herald new sections in Ace of Shades.
- Superpowerful Genetics: Everyone in this world has two powers - or "talents" - one inherited from each of their parents. The blood talent is the stronger one, and the weaker talent is referred to as the split talent. The talents are further categorized as a whole, into Talents of Mysteries (which are talents that can be best identified as magic, and can not be learned) and Talents of Attributes (which can be learned).
- For example, Enne introduces herself as Enne Salta, which indicates her talent as a dancer.
