* AbortedArc: There is some {{Foreshadowing}} that Rian may become a KnightTemplar antagonist of Auraya in the end of the second book and the very beginning of the third book. However, since he's DemotedToExtra in the third book, this doesn't lead anywhere.

* GreyAndGrayMorality: The Circlians are intolerant towards other religions, but their leaders attempt to solve every problem diplomatically - and actively discourage their followers to physically harm Dreamweavers. Their enemies the Pentadrians are tolerant towards other faiths, but also ruthless. One of their Voices allows his beasts to kill and eat civilians during his incursion in North Ithania, and at one point Nekaun tries to stir up tensions by having [[spoiler:Dreamweavers murdered and framing the Circlians]].

* LoveRedeems: According to Mirar, Chaia was no better than the other gods. [[spoiler:However, he genuinely loves Auraya. He ultimately chooses to kill all the remaining gods, at the cost of his life, so that she would be safe.]]

** Tryss and Drilli are major characters of the first book, but are barely mentioned in the second one, and are absent from the third one. [[spoiler:It's most likely related to the fact the first book ends with Drilli pregnant, so they are probably busy raising their child.]]

Since the remaining gods are the ones who were willing to murder all the other gods, only the cruelest most ruthless ones would remain.

Correcting, I believe, a few pieces of terminology in the description. In particular, it was the >Southern< Ithanian panetheon that went by "The Five", while the northern pantheon was the "The Circle" (or "The Circle of Five", I think), if I'm not much mistaken. I also modified a sentence to, I feel, be a bit clearer.

The series takes place in a continent named Ithania. The Northern Ithania worships five gods collectively known as the Five, the only survivors of a war of the gods. The five gods of the Southern Ithania are claimed to be false and this leads to eventual conflict.

The Five have chosen five humans as their representatives in the world. These five people are called the White and granted extraordinary powers by the gods. Auraya, the main character, is the last of the Five to be chosen. She tries to get adjusted to her new position, starting as a diplomat. During the series she discovers her innate magic is stronger than it was thought to be and goes forth unearthing secrets that have been resting for a very long time.
