Carnivore is a campy sci-fi horror novel written by Leigh Clark that is an unusual cross between ''Film/JurassicPark'' and John Carpenter's ''Film/TheThing1982''. In it, a group of researchers and evil Russians use chemicals to make a revived and recently hatched ''TyrannosaurusRex'' baby grow to adult size in a matter of weeks.

Because this is a ''TyrannosaurusRex'' and it does get mistreated, it gets loose and goes on a rampage at an isolated Antarctic research outpost. It then proceeds to eat everyone. Bloody HilarityEnsues.

It's a cliche-ridden B-movie fest with characters we've come to expect in crappy horror movies and the very concept of a maneating dinosaur stalking humans in well beyond below zero temperatures of the Arctic is idiotic.

Because of this, it is immensely entertaining.

!!The following tropes can be used to describe the novel:

* ArtisticLicenseBiology: While it may have been the result of chemicals mutating it, the ''T. rex'' hatches from it's egg and grows to adult size in a matter of weeks.
* EverythingsBetterWithDinosaurs
* GunsAreWorthless
* MisplacedWildlife: Why was there a ''T. rex'' egg in Antarctica?
* OhCrap
* RedShirt: Apart from the two leads and a dog, everyone else is either meant to die or be eaten by the ''T. rex''.
* StockDinosaurs
* TooDumbToLive
* TyrannosaurusRex
