Bamboo Kingdom is a fantasy series by Erin Hunter. It's centered around Ghost, Rain, and Leaf, panda triplets who were separated at birth. With no knowledge of each other or the mystical destiny awaiting them, they struggle to find their place in the world.

This series includes the following tropes:
- Action Mom: Winter is supportive towards her children (Particularly Ghost and Shiver).
- All of the Other Reindeer: Ghost struggles to fit in with his adoptive family due to him being a Panda. Ghost is disowned by Frost and Snowstorm after Winter is killed.
- Alpha Bitch: Icebound bullies Winter and her children (Particularly Ghost and Shiver). She also raises her own cubs into bullies as well. After Ghost and Shiver left, Icebound extorted Frost and Snowstorm for food.
- Missing Mom: Orchid's status and location are currently unavailable. In Journey to the Dragon Mountain, Orchid is revealed to have died shortly after she abandoned Ghost.
- Cain and Abel:
- Dusk kills his brother Sunset Deepwood and subsequently takes his place.
- Disappeared Dad:
- Root is killed moments before the birth of his children.
- Pebble's father isn't seen nor mentioned anywhere in the series.
- The status and whereabouts of Shiver, Frost and Snowstorm's father is unknown.
- Interspecies Adoption: Ghost (A Panda) is adopted by Winter (A Snow Leopardess).
- Maniac Monkeys:
- A group of Monkeys send Root Rising-Tree plummeting to his doom by knocking the latter into the flooded river. Brawnshanks Troop cause Trouble for Ghost and Rain and beat up Maple Prosperhill after being told by Sunset to do so. By the end of River of Secrets Branshanks take Rain and Peony as their prisoners and intend to drive off the Prosperhill Pandas.
- The Broken Forest Troop drives the pangolins out of their home and make the Broken Forest their new home as well as their base of operations. In The Dark Sun, The Broken Forest Troop wrecks even more havoc on the Bamboo Kingdom.
- Plot-Triggering Death:
- The Slenderwoods and the Red Pandas leave the Northern Forest after Shadowhunter kills Scratcher Climbing-Far.
- Following her confrontation with Ghost and Sunset/Dusk, Plum is found dead. Sunset blames Shadowhunter for Plum's death. However Ghost finds that Plum's wounds don't match the kind a Tiger would inflict. This coupled with more recent events prompts Ghost to realize that Sunset/Dusk is a liar as well as the true culprit behind Plum's death.
- Winter's death motivates Ghost to return to his place of origin.
- Sunset’s death by Dusk’s paws is what triggered the flood.
- Ghost is forced out of the Prosperhill a second time after he is framed for Pebble's murder.
- The Reveal: In Book 3, Dusk is revealed to be the Main Antagonist of the Bamboo Kingdom series not Sunset Deepwood whom Dusk killed and assumed the identity of the former.
- Unwitting Pawn: In River of Secrets Ghost is exploited by Dusk.
