The Pals
was a collaborative group of Let's Players on YouTube, comprising Denis, Alex, Sketch, and Sub. They mainly uploaded content relating to Minecraft and Roblox.
For most of the group's existence, it had 5 members with the former fifth member being Corl. He was kicked from the group in February of 2019 following a series of tweets directed against a fan of The Pals.
A few months after the Twitter incident, Denis announced that the group would be disbanding and that all of the members would be focusing on their own independent channels.
The Pals provide examples of:
- Alone with the Psycho: After Alex gets killed by the murderer, Denis passes by a girl with red hair who turns out to be the murderer. Denis runs into the bathroom only to get killed by her.
- Denis: Okay come on we got to go find where Alex was. Ah! Okay no no no that's her! That's her! Ah! Ahhhh! Ohhhh noooo that's her! She's following me into the bathroom!
- Animal-Motif Team: All members of The Pals have an animal associated with them.
- Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: Alex had to stop a giant guest attack in Guest Destruction.
- Bank Robbery: Denis, Sub, and Alex attempt this one time in an obby.
- Denser and Wackier: Starting from April 2018, all videos feature all members of The Pals to make more exaggerated plots in videos.
- Early-Installment Weirdness: The channel originally did not post roleplay content. The first few videos uploaded on The Pals channel were various Minecraft machinimas and animations.
- Five-Man Band: What this group was until
Corl's Twitter incident. - Giant Wall of Watery Doom: Corl and Sketch had to survive Tsunamis in a Tsunami Survival game.
- Racing Minigame: Sub, Denis, and Sketch raced with other players with their bodies being vehicles.
- RPG Episode: Most of the videos on The Pals channel involve roleplaying.
- The Speechless: Sub is the only member of The Pals who doesn't talk.
- Speedy Snail: This is ultimately the plot when they group played Roblox Snailbreak together.
- Spy Fiction: Alex and Sketch needed to find the agent in the hidden crowd.
