- In Aquaman: Monster, Esther Maris takes minutes at diplomatic meetings and reports on the Atlantean news, gathering information from multiple sources.
- The Boys: Real Justice: When Homelander gives a press conference to reporters from Earth 1, he quickly learns that, unlike his dimension where news people utilize propaganda instead of facts, Earth 1's reporters are this trope. He finds himself under fire from the likes of Clark and Lois Kent, Vicki Vale, Alexander Knox, Gwnyeth Tate, and Linda Park-West...all of whom believe/know that Homelander's nothing but another evil Superman knock-off. Before the conference even begins, Wonder Woman confides in Becca that, against real reporters, Homelander doesn't stand a chance.
- Kwami Magi Homura Magica has Nadja Chamack, whose reaction to Homura broadcasting an ultimatum to Ladybug to hand over the Ladybug Miraculous in an hour is to go interview her. Homura is naturally flummoxed by this, baffled by her lack of fear about interviewing someone with seventeen stolen Miraculouses who had just murdered the most feared man in Paris and hospitalized one of its two greatest heroes. Nadja has worked in Paris so long, and worked in New York before that, that not only is she bold enough to interview Homura before she fights Ladybug, but was even able to dig up some of Homura's history beforehand in barely half an hour. Homura, while remaining in disbelief, gives her an interview despite herself, partially just to screw with Kyubey.
- The Secret Return of Alex Mack: To an outsider, this appears to be the career Alex is heading for. She's apparently run into a shootout to get the first decent footage of Terawatt, filmed at least two of Terawatt's later battles, and produced some of the best footage of the Davenport Building cleanup. She even has a Pulitzer prize.
- Anton Pouncehart from Three Months a Fox, and by extension the rest of his reporting pack at Pouncehart Media.
- Konrad Tschida from Broken Souls, who was looking into a multi-national Government Conspiracy before his death.
- Abraxas (Hrodvitnon): Steve Martin is adapted into this as a Titan photojournalist, coming to Monarch's attention after he's caught trespassing on one of their outposts and lending them a hand for the rest of the main plot. He's established to be a fairly honest journalist who wants to encourage people to have an open mind but be ready for anything.
- Invader Zim: A Bad Thing Never Ends: Played for Laughs with Jeff Sheffy, who is constantly involved in major news... because he's apparently the only actual reporter in the City.
- Mega Man: Defender of the Human Race has Bree Ricotta, who is more heroic than her cartoon self.
- X-Men 1970: Scott Summers is hired as newscaster for WESR, Empire State Radio.
