• Ezra telling Shelly that he intends to marry Amira. Though she later falls back into her Pretty Fly for a White Guy self, Shelly genuinely likes Amira and is overjoyed for her son.
• The scene of Ezra becoming a master at basketball while having a day out with Akbar, and achieving a lot of hoops.
