In timeline VII in X!Tale, Gaster is more lenient. Chara is a ghost, helping Frisk create something. They create Mettaton in an attempt to please X!Gaster, and Mettaton tries to eat everything. They teach him how to fight, he teaches them how to pose, Frisk gives him the heart necklace, and Mettaton is their friend.

Frisk saying goodbye to Sans in 0.1. Though it's obvious they're hesitant to let him go, they ultimately promise to cover for him while he's gone and give him a bottle of deluxe ketchup and a tight hug, telling him to take care of himself.

Ink showing concern for Dream in 0.3 part 2. He's almost an Empty Shell at that point, but he still looks out for his friend.
Outertale Sans befriending Classic Sans in 0.4. Despite having just met him, he immediately offers his help in the search for Ink and later on performs a Heroic Sacrifice to help Sans get away from Nightmare, Killer and Error, simply because he believes it's the right thing to do.
Right before Ink drops the vial, he mentions that he is unfeeling because he doesn't want to regret his decision. His memory cuts to Cross and him sharing a smile, showing that despite everything that's happened, Ink still regards Cross as a friend.
Dream's speech to Cross before their showdown with Nightmare in 0.6, assuring him that despite his actions, he's not evil and deserves a chance to repent.
In 0.7 Part 1, despite everything Frisk had done to them in the past timelines, Papyrus and Asgore refuse to surrender them to X!Papyrus.
In 0.7 Part 2, seeing Geno have a generally positive outlook on life is very heartwarming to see. Though his trauma is still with him, it's clear he refuses to let it define his life any longer. This is reflective on his conversation with Cross and XGaster.
Aftertale!Papyrus immediately trying to take in Cross as a third brother. Even if Papyrus can be annoyed of his brother's antics, this action shows just how much he loves Sans, no matter who it is.
In the 21 Years comic, X!Frisk reveals that Galett was created in Timeline IX by him specifically to act as a protector to X!Muffet, even behind X!Gaster's and X!Chara's backs. Despite everything X!Frisk went through in the last eight timelines, the fact that he has enough compassion to keep X!Muffet happy is indicative that frustration and obsession are not his only emotions.
