Heartwarming / The Prince and the Dressmaker

Go To

  • Lady Sophia and Frances's interactions have this, especially the end result.
    • Sophia is not into debuting at the ball; she also knows that it's not Frances's fault saying during measurements that "I dislike this as much as you do." Frances remains polite, asking what she wants in her dress. Sophia says, "Make me look like the devil's wench!"
    • Frances could simply make a passable dress. In fact, her initial design is a standard ballgown. She remembers how upset Sophia was, however, and looks at the mannequin. An idea hits her, and she spends the whole night sewing with candles for her source of light.
    • Sophia in her dress is technically garish, in that the outfit is little more than what one would see in a cabaret. Yet she's giving the biggest smile possible while presenting herself and stuffing her face with cake. As Frances says later, she was only trying to help Sophia by giving her the dress she wanted.
  • Frances and Sebastian’s friendship in its entirety.
    • Later, Sebastian took inspiration after hearing Frances’ story on how she got into dressmaking, and creates his alias Lady Crystalia.
  • King Leo and Queen Marie are shown to be good parents to Sebastian, as they’re giving him more say on his Arranged Marriage.
  • Frances and Sebastian’s first kiss towards the end.
