• Our introduction to Kai. When Lloyd first goes to school, all the other kids shun him because of his father. But the second he steps through the doors, Kai immediately zeroes in on him, yells "BRO!" at the top of his lungs, and walks straight over to give the poor kid a massive birthday hug. It's really touching to see such sensitivity from the most hot-headed member of the team. Plus he's not ashamed to openly show all the other students that he's friends with the son of Ninjago's most feared supervillain.

• Koko's caring for her son, making a cake for his birthday and being worried enough to call and check with lots of people when he goes missing.
• Lloyd and Garmadon bonding by having Garmadon teach Lloyd how to throw (he really stunk at throwing before), set to Jim Croce's "I Got a Name".
• Garmadon telling Lloyd the story of how he met Koko: He was in the midst of conquering a village when he saw her kicking the everloving crap out of his army. According to him, it was "love at first fight".
• Garmadon proudly holding his infant son, with baby Lloyd mimicking his father's laugh.
• The truth of Lloyd's element is actually quite touching; he's key to the team being a team because he's the glue that holds them together.

• Nya and Koko holding rehabilitating classes for the former minions of Garmadon at the end.
• The citizens of Ninjago essentially adopt Meowthra as their mascot once she's been calmed down.
