Daybreak
Chapter 1
- Despite the fact that he's willing to Mercy Kill someone, Van still has lines he will not cross such as making children like Feri kill someone, even if they're already undead.
Chapter 5
- Judith hugging Yin (Rixia) after the party defeats the latter and Cao, showing that, in spite of the supposed rivalry, she does consider her a friend, even expressing jealousy of how Ilya was able to push Rixia to greater heights.
- Elaine thanking Van and the party for coming in to help out when she was confronting her father. It's quite nice to hear her say that, though she can't see this twisted game through to the end, she believes in them, knowing that they'll put a stop to it.
Kuro II
Prologue
- It's clear that Van values how his assistants brought him back from his self-imposed sacrifice from the previous game, and he's determined to make sure it wasn't a waste.
- This chapter in general does a good job of showing Van and Elaine's restored bond. Even if they won't be getting back together anytime soon, they still manage to express their concern and care for one another in a much more open and less awkward way than the previous game.
Chapter 3
- Swin coming back to the heroes' side and saving Nadia from Garden-Master leads the pink-haired girl to tears once again, but this time of happiness.
- Swin and Nadia's brief reunion with Ace is bound to pull on the heartstrings.
Final Chapter
- While at the Aramis's school festival, Swin offers to take Nadia out on a date, something that Nadia has vocally desired for much of the game. It ended up being such a pleasant surprise for her that she becomes unusually quiet.
- Renne's Connect Event during the School Festival is Van taking Renne out to the city to take her mind off of her responsibility as the student council president at Estelle, Joshua, and Tita's request because they can't come there. To top everything off, though, is Van revealing that they, alongside some other connections Renne has including her former comrades in Ouroboros, also have been secretly working on recreating Pater-Mater's AI and integrating it into a Holo Core system for her 18th birthday. It's yet again proof that Renne has found a family that loves her, something that she deserves to have after everything that has happened to her.
- Even if she had to watch him go again, this time for good, Mariel still got to see Dingo one last time.
