Heartwarming / The Iron Teeth

• Despite Blacknail being largely hostile to humans, Saeter is the one who he respects the most and puts effort into actively protecting against anything that threatens him, whether other Goblins, Mimics, or Humans.
  • He makes his feelings of gratitude clear in 3.4.
    “Thank you, master,” he told him. Saeter eyed him curiously and a corner of his mouth rose to form a smirk.

    “For what?” he asked.

    “Everything,” Blacknail replied.
• In 4.5 he stops a couple (Rickus and Selstia) from wandering into Herald's camp, knowing they'd be killed, and then guides them to a cave they can rest in until morning.
• In 4.7 he stops pursuing Herald's group (for a time) to protect the feral goblins of the tribe against the Harpies attacking them. But when he gets overwhelmed, the goblins grab their weapons and start defending him. He then takes the time to basically uplift them.
• Saeter's constant efforts to keep Blacknail out of trouble in 5.7 show how fond he's become of the Hobgoblin.
