- Alexey and Henk's interactions throughout the movie and the friendship developed between them which mirrors the one they developed in Real Life. They start bonding over their mutual love for games and programming, develop a strong friendship over mutual ideals and end up saving each other (Alexey by helping Henk secure the rights to Tetris thereby saving his business and Henk by helping Alexey escape the USSR to start a new life with his family in the US). The "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue reveals that they are still friends and that they formed the Tetris Company together to help Alexey finally receive royalties from his greatest creation.
- Henk watching his daughter Maya perform her school play in front of him in front of a makeshift stage, after he missed it the first time.
- Furthermore, Maya Rogers was named CEO of the Tetris company in 2014. Henk's struggles paid off and he secured a legacy for his children that still continues to this day.
