• Has started a charity called Sami for Syria, which works with SAMS (the Syrian-American Medical Society) to provide mobile medical clinics in war zones in Syria. It's raised over $93,000 so far.
• Pretty much any time he's asked about his 21-year Real Life friendship with Kevin Owens, as Zayn can't say enough about how talented and awesome he thinks Owens is.
• The day that Sami received his WWE contract, he took it straight over to Kevin's house to sign, saying "it's our contract". Kevin returned the favor on the night he won the Universal Championship, hugging Sami backstage and telling him "this is ours".
• Elimination Chamber 2020. Sami is still a weaselly little heel who Rules Lawyer'd his way into a championship, but a lot of people are very happy to see him get his first main roster title.
• Two years after being left off WrestleMania, one year after retaining the Intercontinental Title but having to give it up due to Covid, and eighteen years after their first match together, Sami and Kevin had their WrestleMania moment. In several interviews (both in and semi-out of character), Sami acknowledges how amazing it is that they're finally getting their chance to perform at WrestleMania together.
• For the 9/23/22 episode of SmackDown, Roman Reigns looks like he’s about to purge the Bloodline—- his stable of relatives from the Anoa’i Wrestling Family—- of Sami who has operated as a hanger-on and and calling himself an “honorary Uce”. Roman has Jey Uso rip The Bloodline shirt right off Sami’s back and tells him he never wants to see Sami wear a Bloodline shirt again… because he got him a new one instead. Roman then tosses Sami a shirt declaring him “HONORARY UCE” and embraces him as a member of the team. While everyone knows there’s no way Sami and the Bloodline will live happily ever after, the look of sheer elation and joy in Sami as he’s accepted by the Tribal Chief is genuinely heartwarming.
• At the Royal Rumble, after watching Roman demolish KO and the Bloodline engage in a post-match beatdown, Sami's final test is made clear: Roman hands him a chair and tells him to finish KO off. At the last moment, Sami chooses KO over his new family, knowing it'll get him beaten down. Also crosses into Tearjerker as Jey Uso, who'd vouched for Sami just five days ago at Raw is XXX is devastated by Sami's choice.
  • Before a vengeful Jimmy Uso superkicks Sami in retaliation, Sami's first reaction is to turn to Jey and apologize.
• At the final Smackdown before Elimination Chamber 2023, Sami was set to deliver an in-ring promo to end the show. The Montreal crowd refuses to give him the chance. They spend seven full minutes singing Sami's theme song and showering him in "OLE" chants, bringing Sami to tears.
  • Part of the reason for that? Sami didn't enter to his generic-rock heel theme, he entered to "Worlds Apart", his beloved babyface theme song, and the crowd was appreciative.
• Sami and Kevin reuniting with a hug on the 3/17/23 episode of SmackDown after the latter returned to the arena to fend off The Usos.
• At WrestleMania 39, Sami and Kevin Owens got to main event together against The Usos for the Unified Tag Championships is all inspiring given the history Sami and Kevin have that has led to them sharing the ring at the end of the night in victory. It's their first tag team titles in 14 years, and even days after the match, both men still insisted it hadn't sunk in yet.
• After years of being effectively barred from entering Saudi Arabia because of political tensions with Syria, Sami walks in to Night of Champions 2023 with both tag titles around his waist, resplendent in a white thawb and to a hero's reception.
  • On top of that (and winning the match in question), Sami being welcome in Saudi Arabia meant he was finally able to complete a pilgrimage to Mecca for the first time in his life.
• Before he was the one to end Gunther's record breaking Intercontinental Title reign, Sami was shown with his family, gets one last pep talk from Chad Gable, and upon making his way to make his entrance, gets encouragement from another important member of his family: Kevin Owens.
