Tearjerker moments aren't all there is to the drama in Saike. More than being depressing, what's incredible is that there is usually well earned light beyond the darkness which is what truly makes the series sweet. Seeing Saike find the answers to emotional problems of everyone and himself.
- Despite Saike shutting himself off from the rest of the world, Mikan still hangs around him and believes that he's amazing even if Saike doesn't believe it himself. Then she ends up being right as Saike grows into a hero who literally goes to hell and back to save those around him.
- What truly drives the point home is when Saike decides that it's only right someone as worthless as him should sacrifice himself to save someone with value like Mikan. Fortunately, they both made it out alive but afterwards, Mikan slaps Saike like crazy asking what she'd do if he died on her, showing that Mikan didn't think the same way at all.
- At first, Saike was absolutely frustrated with how Mikan constantly insisted on going to Mogura Pond, no matter what he did to the point, he thought it was just a cruel course of fate he couldn't escape. But that wasn't the reason at all, the real reason? They made a promise from childhood that if they're still friends that day, they'll dig up a time capsule they made 10 years ago. Even though Saike forgot, Mikan was determined to dig it up no matter anything Saike did all those loops.
- After growing up with a father who didn't care about what he wanted, Hizu finally meets a kid who caught his interest enough to become his reason to live then grows an Undying Loyalty to.
- Saike standing up against a thug who was abusing Hirayasu and get beaten up by him in order to inspire Hirayasu have courage.
- Ana understanding how much distress Saike is in after Hirayasu suggested he was just like Johan. So she took him out on a date to make him feel better.
- In Minegishi's past, he received an injury that doesn't allow him to play baseball anymore and was in despair until Minegishi told him about how some plants don't sprout flowers but live on. So even if Minegishi couldn't play baseball anymore, there's no such thing as a life without meaning and managed to cheer him up.
- In the Negatibrain one-shot chapter, Kuroda saw the future that Yukari, wanted tried to kill his sister. Not only did Kuroda save his sister but he also tried to understand Yukari to see that she must be a negative person to try and kill someone. So for the day, Kuroda changed to be a positive person as an example to inspire Yukari to change as well.
