When you imagine your friend being with you, everything is better. And it's even better with sparkles
- First of all, the relationship between May and Gabu. That's not for nothing that they consider each other as "Special Friends".
- The opening itself, with its lyrics and scenes. Even with the wolves's part, seeing Boro the little wolf pup smile is cute, despite the setting.
- There is of course the iconic first meeting Gabu and May, and their first outing.
- The friendship between May, Tapp, Mii and Moro. Mii especially who really loves May as if she were sisters. While Tapp seems a little too confident and strict, he really has good intentions toward his friends. And even Moro who seems to prefer food above all, he's almost always seen hanging out with his friends.
- In the episode 2, we can see that the two main characters exchanged clovers the moment when they discovered their respective species.
- The entire fact that Gabu is already that loyal toward May, risking his life by climbing a very steep mountain to find a medicinal plant, so she can uses it to cure Mii. And despite his attempts to reassure her, May is still worried that it would be too dangerous for him, knowing that he's not a good climber. Fortunately, he success at the end, not without being wounded.
- It is in the same episode that we listen the two friends singing "The Wind's song" for the first time. And that the same song which gives him the strenght to not giving up his difficult climbing.
- Earlier in the episode, after Gabu showed her his territory, May says something like "Wolves are, no, Gabu, you sure are amazing !"
- The enthusiasm and joy of May when she believes that her secret friend is the next wolf boss.
- It's like the 7th episode wants to confirm that there is more than just friendship between our two protagonists, with Gabu wanting May to be with Kuro, a nice black goat that she met before, convinced that she would be happier with him. Cue to a short Break-Up/Make-Up Scenario scene which seems to have brought them both closer together at the end.
- Episode 10 introduces us Lala, a white she-wolf and Barry's little sister who seems to have a crush on Gabu. Knowing that Gabu is considered by many wolves as a load and an incompetent hunter, it's good to see that there is a female wolf who really likes him despite all of this.
- As the series goes on, we get to see how Boro the young pup really considers Gabu as a brother, admiring and caring for him.
- The plot of the 12th is just about the band of the four goats friends doing a trip together to see a baby black goat of another herd, while Gabu does his best to help them at distance.
- In the next episode, he recognizes Mii who felt asleep on his tail, and helps to brings back her to the safety of Sawa Sawa Mountain.
- Episode 14 focus on May and her grandma, while they're making their way to Para Para Field. During the night, the old goat tells her grandchild how she met a goat from another herd before finding in the morning that this goat who helped her was from a rival herd. May can't help but notices how almost similar her first meeting with Gabu is with her grand-mother's story. We learn at the end of the episode that May's grandma's friend is the elder of the black goat.
- May being offended when Gabu told her that the pups think that he sucks at hunting, and wanting to teach them a lesson. Though, to be fair, she also wanted to do this because they were bad-mouthing the goats. Finally, the pups learn a real lesson from Gabu, and consider him wiser than he seems to be.
- Gabu trusting Lala enough to ask her advices to avoid the routine in his relationship with the female goat. Even if we saw that Lala might have a thing for him and doubting that he may have someone else, she helps without any ulterior motives.
- The 18th episode is about May's grandmother wanting to show her grandchild where she took her daughter to see a beautiful view of the rainbow.
- 19th episode, the growing bond between May and Vivi, a little deer who got lost that the goat helps to find her family. Despite May being annoyed by her for a short moment, she refuses to left Vivi alone, and is determined to help her until she finds her own herd.
- Gabu's picking flowers for May at the very beginning. Also, how he sabotaged a hunt to save her, knowing the risks of doing this.
