Heartwarming / Meet the Feebles

Go To

  • Anything and everything involving Arthur, who rightfully earns his place as the heart of the film. The fact that he's on good terms with almost everyone else in the cast, even Bletch, adds to that. By the end of the film he not only survives the massacre Heidi started but also manages to retire to a quiet honest life after the fact.
    • Even though Arthur accidentally kills Sidney's pets with a runaway barrel and ruins his act, Sidney doesn't hold it against him and even invites him to his dressing room for a drink and a smoke.
    • After Heidi's rampage, Arthur regretfully tells Heidi that he has to turn her in to the police. Heidi completely understands, and her last request is for Arthur to play "Garden of Love" one last time. Arthur complies without a second thought.
  • Robert and Lucille's romance is almost comically out-of-place for how saccharine it is, but it earns this status when Robert swings straight into the massacre, unarmed, to save Lucille, and then again to defend her honor from Trevor. Moreso in that this scene clears up the Third-Act Misunderstanding, and the two are together for good as per the epilogue.
  • Almost entirely too late, Sidney the Elephant finally accepts Seymour as his kid, rushing in to protect him from Heidi's wrath at the cost of his own well-being resulting in his kneecaps getting blown off, despite his injuries all he's concerned with is Seymour's life.
    I'M COMING, SEYMOU-AAGH! AUGH! ...Daddy's here, Seymour...
    • Beforehand, and despite her earlier nagging and unpleasant behavior, Sandy tries to drag Seymour to safety when Heidi arrives to massacre the performers, unfortunately Heidi notices her trying to get away and blows her head off before she can do so which is what forces Sidney to perform his above heroic deed.
  • Harry's happiness at realizing he doesn't have "The Big One" can be rather touching considering that the guy was pretty nice through and through despite his sex addiction, too bad he rushed out of his room at the worst possible time and gets executed by Heidi as her second kill.
  • The ending scene shows the fates of the surviving characters who all get pretty happy endings:
    • Though he works now as a struggling hortalist, Sidney gets to take care of his son after receiving knee surgery now at peace with himself and his life.
    • Arthur retires from theatre business and gets honors for his now sedentary life.
    • Robert and Lucille get married, and the former becomes a successful women's magazine photographer.
    • And despite her earlier massacre, Heidi reforms in jail and is eventually let go free, now working a simple job as a cashier under a new identity and slims down on top of that.
    • Even if he was a huge jerk to see Sebastian finally achieve the fame he wanted, even if through taking the credit for heroism he didn't perform, can be comforting for those who liked him despite his flaws.
