You can break your face and you can break your hand but you can't break Da Band.

Despite all of the stress and the petty feuds, the bands always manage to pull together.

Making the Band 2 (Da Band)

    Season 1

    Season 2
  • When they're tasked by Diddy to pick up some cheesecake all the way from Junior's in Brooklyn, they decide to team up to confront him and demand respect. They also accept Ness as their leader when they'd otherwise bicker over who gets that title.
Dylan: (to Ness) I'm with you! Yo, I'm with you! To the end of this shit, man!
Dylan: He drops you, he drops me, he drops all of us, yo!
    • This line is immediately followed up by Dilated Peoples' "Worst Comes to Worst".
"When worst comes to worst, my peoples come first"
  • Da Band is tasked with serving at a soup kitchen. They do as told and actually have a good time, making many customers very happy. One is even found praying over his food. Ness is especially sympathetic since he's been homeless in the past and Sara is so overwhelmed by emotion that she breaks down crying.
Sara: How I'm feeling right now, I feel very blessed to be here.. (her voice cracks and she starts sobbing) I-I've never done this before..
  • Diddy tasks Da Band with reciting two essential songs to the world of hip-hop; "Rapper's Delight" and "Juicy". He is especially offended that no one seems to know all the lyrics to the latter, as it was penned from the heart by the late, great Biggie Smalls, Diddy's dear friend and artist. He forces them to recite the song to a T.
Diddy: START OVER! START! OVER! START! OVER! Do NOT fuck up my man's words! This is poetry! You don't want nobody chopping up your shit, right?!
  • The release of their debut album, Too Hot for TV, as pictured above. It's one of the few times everyone is just having a good time and celebrating together and it is cathartic to watch.
