Season 1
- Cheng Xiaoshi sending a text to Emma's parents in an attempt to make them reunite and take care of her. After experiencing only a few hours in her shoes, he has enough sympathy for her to risk breaking the rules, albeit in a small way.
- The ending of the second episode's mystery is quite sweet: although Yu Xia was, at the time, obsessed with expanding their brand and considered Lin Zhen's departure a betrayal, the latter still decided that the best place to start over with a small, quiet noodle shop was her former partner's rural hometown. When Yu Xia learns that the secret ingredient is a powder of the special fragrant flowers that grow in her hometown (an ingredient she introduced Lin Zhen to in college), she hops on a train to go there immediately - and as they're reunited, Lin Zhen greets her with a "welcome home" before Yu Xia throws herself into her arms.
- After seeing how deeply the other kids care about the sport, Cheng Xiaoshi ignores Lu Guang's warnings and uses his full basketball skill to try and save the team's gymnasium until he realizes he's playing too well and has to try and self-sabotage. It turns out it was a moot point in multiple ways, but on some level it's the thought that counts.
- Li Doudou finally being reunited with his parents.
- As well, the main trio doing the Star of Justice sentai spiel to welcome him (seemingly his father's idea, but they all went along with it), complete with poses and dramatic voices.
Season 2
- When he thinks Lu Guang is dead, Cheng Xiaoshi goes as far as inquiring about the timing of the first photo he sees (on Chen Bin's phone) to check whether he'd have enough time to save him... and only backs out because he remembers Lu Guang telling him never to change the past.
- Later, when they're reunited and he sees that Lu Guang is alive, he's so overwhelmed that he continues sobbing and briefly collapses.
- When Lu Guang prepares to look into what he thinks is Liu Min's phone, Qiao Ling and Cheng Xiaoshi are quick to tell him not to overexert himself while he's injured.
- While it's also very sad, the montage of Chen Bin's romance with his wife at his funeral is sweet, especially in light of its contrast to the other married couples shown later in the season.
- Since they never got to have a proper ceremony, his wife comes to the funeral wearing a beautiful lilac dress and carrying the same flowers he used to make the ring he proposed to her with.
- It's revealed at the end of the episode that the special gesture of the flower ring and the promise that he'd love and protect her in every lifetime were from Cheng Xiaoshi and Lu Guang intervening (by stepping into the photo taken right after Chen Bin had proposed) to help spare them at least some regret.
- At the end of her speech, Chen Bin's wife demands that he promise to make up for his broken promises in their next life; the next shot is of Chen Bin, in soft pastel lighting, saluting and assuring her that he will. Afterwards everyone else in attendance rushes to gather by the casket and hug her.
- Since they never got to have a proper ceremony, his wife comes to the funeral wearing a beautiful lilac dress and carrying the same flowers he used to make the ring he proposed to her with.
- Though they only knew each other for a little while and he'd been stabbed just a short time before, Lu Guang wanted to go to Chen Bin's funeral so badly that he attempted to drag himself out of his room still wearing a hospital gown. When the nurse wouldn't let him, he sent a chrysanthemum (a symbol of grief and vitality from ancient times) along for Cheng Xiaoshi to place on the officer's casket instead.
- Although it turns out to be badly misplaced, Xiao Li's absolute faith that Qian Jin can't be behind the Red Eyes murders because of their former bond as partners (as well as his sympathy over the mistake of bringing him to the scene of his wife's murder) is touching.
- When confronting Lu Guang about the mysterious person who came to his door during the attack on the hospital, Xiao Li takes a moment to reassure Lu Guang that he's safe and doesn't need to hide anything.
- The scene where Li Tianchen and Lu Guang are simultaneously attempting to teach Cheng Xiaoshi (in Li Tianxi's body) signs. Neither is very good at it, considering the former is a child and the latter doesn't seem to regularly sign himself, but they're both so earnest that it's rather sweet.
- The flashback to their childhood where Qiao Ling creatively convinces Cheng Xiaoshi to drink his milk carton. As Qiao Ling recounts the story to Li Tianxi, she says she's always considered Cheng Xiaoshi like a little brother.
- When Xiao Li relays Qian Jin's demands, Qiao Ling doesn't even hesitate before saying that she'll go with Cheng Xiaoshi.
Chibi Shorts
- Despite Lu Guang at first resisting the idea of letting a cat stay with them, by the time Cheng Xiaoshi wakes up the next morning he's already ordered a litterbox and cat food and started trying to train the cat.
