- Kotaro’s entrance ceremony for kindergarten. At first, Kotaro insists to Shin that he go alone. However, once Shin, Mizuki, and Tamaru realize it’s the first day of kindergarten, they all rush to Kotaro’s school where they all claim to be his parents.

. - When Kotaro “runs away” with his friend, Karino is there at his apartment and demands to know where the kid was. Kotaro was just thinking about how if he ran away nobody would be looking for him, so he immediately apologized for making him worry.
- Shin volunteering to help run the school festival despite many of the moms having a negative opinion about him. On the day of the festival, everyone is surprised to see how it's functioning thanks to Shin rallying his apartment friends and boss to help run the festival. Shin confides in the teacher that he doesn't mind the extra work as long as Kotaro is happy.
- Shin's manga boss gives Kotaro a private tour of his company where he can play video games and see memorabilia dedicated to his favorite anime.
- Mizuki, Tamaru, and Karino all protectively guarding Kotaro when they learn that Aota is a private detective sent to locate Kotaro. All of them accompany Kotaro everywhere he goes and they make a protective formation around him to ensure his father can’t sneak up and take him away.
- Kotaro’s bond with Ryota, a young man that was at the same orphanage Kotaro stayed at briefly. Ryota acts like an older brother to Kotaro and meets up with the boy to look at the stars. When they meet up in the present timeline, he sings the Tonosama theme song with Kotaro.
- Shin taking Kotaro to see the Tonosaman movie, even though he hates the franchise, after he was already tired and fed up after taking Kotaro and two other boys to an expensive 3D dinosaur movie just prior.
- In the last episode, it looks as though Shin will be unable to go to the Entertainment Show to support Kotaro thanks to his meddling ex-girlfriend, thus leaving the boy somber for his absence. But it turns out that Shin knew about the performance and is already in the crowd watching him. This raises Kotaro's spirit and causes him to sing with more energy.
