Beware Of Spoilers. All spoilers on this page are left unmarked. You Have Been Warned!

No, seriously. Despite this series being full of insanely strong dudes brutalizing each other in increasingly over-the-top ways, there's a surprising amount of genuinely heartstring-pulling moments.

  • Ohma and Kazuo's Like a Son to Me relationship that grows stronger as they spend more time together.
  • Hanafusa saving Mokichi for no reason other than helping out a patient. This is the first example of the fighters having Hidden Depths that go beyond "fight and win".
    • In general, the good-hearted nature of many of the contestants is admirable. Seeing them interact with one another during the Beach Episode is pretty funny, but it also shows how the fighters easily get along with one another despite their differences.
  • Karura's friendship with Mokichi's sister is genuine, which is nice to see coming from the Kure Clan.
  • Urita and Inaba's relationship, spelled out in Chapter 66.5, is one long Friendship Moment. As it turns out, Inaba and Urita have been friends since childhood, along with another later-to-be association-member Akira. During their high school days, Urita's father put out a hit on Akira's father out of a business rivalry, and Inaba's dad carried out the deed. Inaba was horrified by this and apologized to Akira. As it turns out, Akira doesn't hate him, and in fact refuses to carry the grudge between his and Urita's fathers into their friendship. Inaba then proposes his eternal servitude to Urita, who vehemently refuses and decides to continue to be Inaba's friend instead of his master.
Urita: S-stop treating me like I'm an idiot! You damned Seaweed Head!... You've.. always.. been my best friend!
    • The kicker? Akira has a picture on his phone of the three of them smiling together in highschool, implying that they easily made up.
    • Further demonstrated when Hayami's offer to Akira is flatly turned down on the grounds that he won't be Hayami's dog, alongside Urita.
  • After being defeated by Akoya and disowned by his adoptive father, Haruo hits an extreme low until running into Sekibayashi, who treats him cordially and encourages him to stay and watch his fight. After winning it, Sekibayashi is approached by Haruo who tearfully asks him if it is possible for someone like him to change, to which he is answered yes and is taken in as Sekibayashi's apprentice.
  • Hatsumi and Shion's relationship can be this at times. In spite of them being exes and Hatsumi's constant womanizing and two-timing, the worry she shows when he takes hits during matches can be this.
    • Chapter 162.5 tells us that in spite of him two-timing her numerous times and years after their relationship, she still keeps a torn and taped up photo of them in their early dating years in a photo collage on her desk at home, showing he is still important to her after everything he has done.
  • Muteba The freaking Genocider! Yes, you read it right. This is the guy who has lived all his life killing people left and right for a living, and he quite enjoys his profession. Despite all that, he's fully capable of having respect for certain people, as seen with Jun Sekibayashi. The Wrestler's principles and commitment to Wresting managed to earn Muteba's respects to the point the Assassin decided to forgo his regular assassination style and finish the match in Professional style, as a way to pay respect to him and openly admitted he does NOT hate Wrestling at all and bid the big Wrestler farewell. He also came to Jun Sekibayashi's rescue when the Wrestler and other injured fighters were surrounded by the Guardians.
  • Niko Tokita taking in Ohma as a student and formed a father-son relationship with him.
  • Why Agito has Undying Loyalty to Metsudo? Metsudo saved him from the Gu Ritual and put in his earnest efforts to help Agito psychologically recover from the trauma and raise him among a group of supportive colleagues and friends.

Omega

  • Even after Ohma's death, Kazuo still remembers him fondly and sends him flowers at his grave at times. Even Yasuo who only met him once still acknowledged him.
  • Once news breaks out of Ohma's survival in Omega, we're treated to a number of the fighters throughout the series reacting to the news with surprise and joy. Of particular note are Lihito, Okubo, Suekichi and Himuro, who all arrive at Kazuo's office and are so overjoyed at the sight of Ohma being in front of them that they bear hug him and begin to sob.
  • Ryuki and Koga's friendship, Despite Koga initally hating him from the start due to his resemblance of Ohma their relationship grew as they spend more time together until Koga sees that Ryuki killed a Worm member but it got strained. Ultimately after Akoya's fight Koga realizes that Ryuki is not a psychopath he really doesn't know the feeling of what it means to kill someone.
    • Their first real bonding comes from a shopping trip, and the day concludes with Ryuki sincerely thanking Koga and stating that it was his first time ever hanging out with a friend.
  • Despite Erioh being the head of the Kure Clan, and no longer serving Metsudo in any official capacity, he still recalls his time as the first "Fang of Metsudo" very fondly and holds some pride over the title, even acknowledging Kanoh—who was the fifth "Fang"—as his successor.
  • Honestly you can't help but feel happy for Agito as now he already "paid" his debts to Metsudo and is overall much better off since he can now just explore who he is really with his reappearance showing an more relaxed and casual Agito rather than the completely fierce and bloodthirsty Fang of Metsudo we seen in Ashura.
    • Tellingly, in his first appearance in Omega, Agito not only casually apologies, but cracks a joke. He's certainly a far cry from the bloodthirsty psychopath he was introduced as.
  • Agito and Ohma reassuring Kaolan that he indeed is the true winner of his fight despite officially losing to Carlos and that he served as a warning to the team.
  • After Misasa demolishes Yumigahama, he tries to brush it off by saying he got lucky. His teammates won't have it, with even Agito noting how impressive his performance was and that he more than held up the honor of the Fangs of Metsudo.
  • Naidan despite being a Worm member actually has a strong bond with Liu and tells him to not trust Nicolas as he may be not who he is really.
    • Liu mentioning that despite barely knowing Naidan for a year and knowing not much about him regardless he was able to form a strong relationship with him and despite him being a Worm albeit Liu doesn't know of them is willing to listen to Naidan before he passes away.
    • When Liu's above-mentioned bond with Naidan causes him to go berserk and attempt to kill Ryuki and Koga, several members of the team (namely Ohma, Okubo, Raian, and Akoya) all immediately come to their aid. They may squabble amongst themselves, but the Kengan team does look out for each other.
  • After Agito's match against Lu Tian, Okubo greets The Fang (a man who caved in his skull) with a full-on Glomp, and Agito smiles in return.
  • After thoroughly trouncing Terashi, Okubo warmly compliments his skills, brushing off Terashi's insults against martial artists and offering to train with him. Even Terashi doesn't seem to know quite what to make of it.
