- When she won the SmackDown Women's Championship at TLC 2018, she was so excited and overwhelmed that she could barely contain her tears. After her defeat in WrestleMania, everything pointed towards Asuka being left behind as another figure who once was big but eventually faded away, yet TLC was her big redemption moment. People wanted her to win so much that they completely forgot about rising superstar Becky Lynch, once she was taken out by Ronda Rousey, to celebrate Asuka's victory. As for WWE, they officially recognized this match as her redemption against Charlotte, which is why Asuka was then allowed to beat her clean in every live show after the event (mostly to protect Becky at first, but then she started beating Charlotte in singles matches as well).
- On the 5/11/20 episode of Raw, after finding out that the Money in the Bank briefcase she won actually held the RAW Women's Championship, Asuka celebrates her win by running around the stage and jumping on tables for a minute straight. However, when Becky Lynch reveals that she offered the title up because she was pregnant, Asuka immediately gets giddy, congratulates her, and even starts a one-person chant of her name in an empty room. It's such a wholesome reaction that many speculated that she wasn't informed about it beforehand, and her response was 100% genuine.note
- During a match with Sasha Banks where Asuka could've lost her Raw Women's Championship via DQ or count-out, through dirty tactics, Bayley ended up beating up Kairi Sane backstage with her crying out Asuka's name. Asuka didn't hesitate to go for the save, knowing full well she was going to lose her championship.
