Look at how far they’ve come
- In House of X #5, Cyclops is resurrected by the Five and asks Xavier if they were successful in taking out Mother Mold. Xavier responds by saying yes and expresses pride in his students.
- The scene also takes the ominous "To me, my X-Men." scene from the first issue and clarifies that it's actually an uplifting moment.
- In Powers of X #5, we see how Xavier and Magneto recruited Emma Frost to their side: they took her to Krakoa. Looking out across it's beautiful expanse, she quietly says, "One more time, then. For the children." And then she turns to Xavier and goes "All right. I'm in."
- One of Emma's stipulations on helping form the Krakoan government (the Quiet Council) is that she wants three seats. We already know that one is for her and one is for Sebastian Shaw. A mistake in the reviewer's copy of the issue, however, revealed who Emma Frost wanted for the third seat on the government: Kitty Pryde.
- When the Fantastic Four come around, Cyclops's stoic stance actually softens when he sees Ben Grimm. He congratulates him on his wedding and says "Mazel tov." It's a nice moment of affection and a reminder of how beloved The Thing is.
- The end of House of X #6 is just one huge party on Krakoa, with everybody celebrating. Wolverine gives a beer to Cyclops and then one to Gorgon! Jean gives a beer to Emma! Siryn yells right behind Dazzler and creates a beautiful lightshow! And, best of all, we see that Skin and Synch really are alive again and hugging each other in celebration. It is pure, unadulterated joy.
