  • Dakki's sworn sisters Kibi and Okijin get one in the manga when they defend her against the Shisei of Kuryu Island, despite Dakki telling them that she could handle the fight. They are defeated and rendered unconscious and Dakki, showing a rare display of sadness and endearment, teleports with them to safety.
  • Ki Sho's final moments. He is surrounded by family and friends and sees the spirit of his beloved son Hakuyuko, whom he has mourned so much, come to take him to the other side.
Hakuyuko: Father... to be able to depart from this world without a care is an enviable thing.
Ki Sho: That's true. I'm a happy man.
  • In the battle with two powerful members of Kingo Island's Jutenkun, Nataku tells Igo to attack the remaining opponent while he destroys his runes in order to protect a severely wounded Yozen. Igo is shocked to hear that from Nataku, and rightfully so, because up until this point, he had been a loose cannon, needlessly violent and without too much regard for his allies' safety. To see the highly competitive, mass-destructive Nataku give up the chance to kill an opponent and work together with someone else to protect a comrade is truly heartwarming.
  • The parent-son bond between Gyokutei Shinjin and Yozen has provided for some of the most heartwarming scenes in the manga. Especially when Gyokutei comes to Yozen's aid in Chapter 5 of Volume 14:
Yozen: Teacher, you came to help me?...
Gyokutei: Shh, don't talk, Youzen. Kongrong was saved because of you. Taikobo is safe too, don't worry! You're my best apprentice!
Yozen: Thank you, teacher. I am saved just by those words.
  • A weakened and pale King Chu goes to Bunchu's estate and begs him to stay with him, frightened by the effects of Dakki's magic on him. The fear in Bunchu's eyes when he sees the King looking so ill and scared is palpable, and after shouting at Dakki, he agrees to stay with him until he recovers. Moments like these underline the incredible father-son bond that Bunchu has with Chu.
