    Season 1
Sins of the Fathers

Parenthood

  • Abby forms an unlikely bond with Ellie, her client of the week, who shows genuine sympathy for her after finding out that she lost custody of her kids.

Addicted to Love

  • Abigail manages to win Marlee's case for her, ensuring that she's able to have visitation with her kids, but Marlee expresses regret that this means her marriage is over. Legally, Abby isn't supposed to fix her client's marriage for her, but she decides to let it be known that all Marlee wanted was for her husband to show that he still desires her. Her ex just happens to overhear this, and dresses up as a swashbuckling hero for her, and it's implied that they'll eventually reconcile.

Mama Don't Preach

  • Cecil is sent undercover in a conversion-therapy camp just to inform Aaron that under the law, he is still Daniel's client, and thus is entitled to legal intervention if he wants to leave the camp. But after seeing the "therapy" firsthand, Cecil is so horrified that he grabs Aaron and makes a run for it, nearly risking his own career to protect someone he barely even knows. It's incredibly short-sighted, and everyone is quick to chew him out for it, but it's pretty brave, and Aaron appreciates it enough that he gifts Cecil with his customized handbag.

Acting Out

  • Harry is genuinely livid when Charisma shows up to her court appearance drunk and with a new wedding ring on her finger, but not at her. He's pissed at her new husband, because he knows his client well enough to know that she would not have pulled this stunt unless someone goaded her into it.

All Happy Families

  • After two seasons of increasingly dire restrictions, Abby finally regains custody of her kids and gets to live at her house again every other week.
    Season 3
Which Came First?

A River in Egypt

  • Having returned from her trip abroad, Nina declares that she's had time to think about what she wants to do with her life, and has decided to become a lawyer, having been inspired by Abigail. Abby is extremely flattered by this, and readily agrees to help her apply to law school.
  • In an effort to get Abby to actually take a moral inventory, Jerri loans gives her a journal. Throughout the season, Abby actually uses it.

It's the End of the World as We Know It

Play It Straight

  • After it looks like his career is done, Zander finds a comeback vehicle by playing a version of himself in this new sitcom and embracing both his age and sexuality.

The Chip Hits the Fan

Bass Fishing

  • As Zina questions Danny about why he's started taking clients like Sabrina Bass, saying that she raised him better than that, Abby stands up for him, pointing out that he's taken a lot of pro bono cases, and insisting that he only took the Bass case to keep the firm afloat.
    • Zina was once Abigail's Honorary Aunt before she became her stepmother, and she still cares about her; she tells Abigail that she's been following her career at Svensson & Svensson with great interest and is proud of the work she's done.
  • During Joanne's housewarming party, Jerri mentions that she's patched things up with Christine enough that she's now finally allowed to see her granddaughter.
  • When it becomes clear that Sabrina Bass was complicit in her ex-husband's crimes, Abby begs Danny to drop Sabrina as a client, promising that she'll back him up (and take the heat from Harry) if Danny agrees.
  • In an attempt to make things right, Abigail sends Zina the name of Sabrina's producer so that he can testify that she knew about her husband's crimes. Also, while her decision to send this information anonymously is mostly to avoid getting prosecuted for violating attorney-client privilege, it does have the side benefit of allowing Zina to believe that the source was Danny.

Where There's a Will

  • Cosmo is able to make peace with his father Dmitri, who vows to finally let him take over the family business in exchange for Cosmo allowing their two restaurants to merge. As a bonus, Harry is so impressed with Daniel's leadership on the case that he promotes him to equity partner, putting him in line to take over the firm.

Catch 22

  • With Naomi Hirota unable to get the government to sign off on her plans for assisted suicide because of a technicality, she and he husband run off to a park to commit suicide illegally. Abby arranges for their son August to meet them to say goodbye and then walks away, promising not to tell anyone that she saw them all together.
Abby: It was an honor to have known you.
  • Abigail finally makes peace with Isabelle, giving her blessing for Isabelle to serve as a step-parent for her kids.

The Chickens Come Home to Roost

  • Upon learning that her parents have broken up again, Abigail's first instinct is to rush over to her mother's house to make sure she's okay. Also doubles as a Tear Jerker, as she genuinely feared that Joanne might hurt herself over the breakup.
  • Abigail helps the Shears and Kovacs families meet so that Lizzie and Britney can formally meet their respective biological mothers. Lizzie is delighted to find out that her biological parents love wrestling, while Britney is instantly won over by the fact that her biological mother has her own library.
