Heartwarming / Ever Decreasing Circles

• Paul's goodbyes to Martin and Ann in the final episode include two heartwarming moments:
  • When Martin asks if Paul is likely to visit Oswestry (to which he and Ann are moving), Paul answers that he'll be there quite regularly as he has a friend there. He then has to point out that he means Martin himself.
  • As Ann and Paul exchange goodbyes, Ann tells Paul that she thinks he should remarry. Paul tells Ann that if he does, he'd want to marry someone just like Ann.
