• Tobias is reluctant about revealing to Ax that Elfangor was his father, worrying that Ax's Andalite sense of superiority will kick in and he'll react negatively, losing his respect for Elfangor altogether. When he finally does tell him, Ax is the one who narrates the scene, so we get all his emotions... and his immediate reaction is to be overwhelmed with joy and gratitude that Tobias is family. He doesn't even get upset with Elfangor; the only thing he regrets is that the rest of his family never knew and that Tobias never had an Andalite naming ceremony. So he performs one himself, giving Tobias the official Andalite name "Tobias-Sirinial-Canada."
