* In episode 3 of the miniseries, Allan Woodcourt leaves a bouquet of tiny red rosebuds for Esther. The look on her face when she holds them (probably never having expected anything like this) is absolutely priceless.
* YMMV on this, but Mr. Jarndyce's decision to let Esther go and bring her together with Allan, while manipulative, is also very noble.
* The wedding that closes out the miniseries. The characters have been through so much misery and anguish, particularly in the last few episodes, and everything has been so mired in the darkness and filth of London's slums, that seeing them joyful and having fun in the sunny English countryside is a balm for the soul.
