  • To be more specific, at the end of the series, everyone who was killed in the the anime is brought back as a hologram, including the villains. There's something strangely comforting about seeing Xargin and Beatrice, two people who spent the better part of their lives feeling nothing but utter hatred for all humanity, finally at peace with themselves and the world, even if it isn't technically real. Top it off with Joseph actually smiling for once, and it's hard to walk away without a smile.
