- Sonny's reconciliation with his dad.
Sonny: You can be scared that I might get pickpocketed in a bad neighborhood or break my legs skiing. But don't be scared about me being a dad, because I will not fail. I love this kid too much. I love him as much as you love me, Dad. I'm gonna give him advice and I'm gonna guide him and I'll be there whenever he needs me. I'll fly to New York to be at his court case even if I disagree with why he's there.
- Everybody gets so touched, they call their fathers right there.
- While a lot of Sonny's early interations with Julian are weird to say the least, he is just as often genuinely sweet to the kid as he is goofy. Unlike other characters faced with a Doorstop Baby, he doesn't immediately try to get rid of him, and talks to him in a very friendly manner even if he doesn't quite know what to do. The biggest example would be that he makes up a pair of "invisibility shades" that lets Julian build confidence around strangers at his own pace AND gets others to play along with it for his sake. He does this a good while before he's decided he really does want to be his dad, too.
