BEWARE!! UNMARKED SPOILERS!!!
- After Bart pockets Neville's Remembrall, Hermione confronts him and declares her belief that he'll return it of his own volition because he's nicer than he pretends to be. Bart is annoyed... and then proceeds to prove her right.
- When it looks like the Weasley Twins might face expulsion for a prank he pulled, Bart immediately goes to Dumbledore and confesses, despite knowing he'll get in trouble, because he doesn't want to destroy their futures.
- When Hagrid faces legal trouble for hatching a dragon egg, Bart once again asks Dumbledore for help, and the headmaster swiftly bails Hagrid out.
- Disgusted by the neglect (and occasional abuse) Harry endures at the hands of the Dursleys, Bart uses his mob connections to bring Harry to the Burrow much earlier than canon.
- At the end of Book 2, Dumbledore finally accepts that sending Harry to the Dursleys was a bad idea and takes custody of him.
- Filch may not have been liked by anybody, but the staff and students still pay their respects at his funeral. Even Bart and Peeves the Poltergeist behave themselves, with the former even rebuking Pansy Parkinson for openly mocking the dead caretaker.
