  • One that becomes even more heartwarming in hindsight: in his third date, Remy confides all his pain and suffering in you because you're the only person he feels he can trust to talk to about it. You reassure him, help him through his pain, maybe even suggest he adopt a child. You think you just helped him through his issues to be kind... but then you find out if you didn't, he takes his own life. Some of his lines take on a new meaning, and you realize he was already contemplating it. You gave him something to live for when he needed it most. You didn't just help Remy through his issues, you convinced him not to kill himself.
  • Anna shows up to the protagonist's house having a complete breakdown, her current situation making her terrified she's going to die in prison and there's nothing she can do about it. You comfort her and become the only person she genuinely cares about because you gave her unconditional compassion that no one else ever has. In both her endings and the True Endings, this causes her to go to great lengths to help the protagonist because she genuinely cares about them, in contrast to her general selfishness.
  • After finding out Zhong is saving up money for his son, the player has the option to buy all the records he's selling for no other reason than to be kind.
  • The optional dates in general are this: they do nothing to affect the story, don't get you a better ending, and at best get an achievement. They mostly exist solely to give the player the opportunity to be kind for the sake of it.
  • In the True Ending, the five dragons all agree to help you stop Reza. Of them, only Bryce is under any obligation to. The others? They trust you and want to help you... because you were kind to them. Because you were there for them. Even Anna, once confronted on wanting a pardon for helping, admits she's really doing it because you matter to her and the pardon is a bonus.
