First Half (Prologue - Chapter X)
- Seeing Funeral Parlor's comments on Shu's training in Chapter II becomes positive during the high school boy's time in their headquarters. This is especially true of Argo giving praise, compare to their canon selves having a disagreement back in the canon Episode 5 in relating to Shu (Canon)'s resentment towards Gai (Canon) and Argo (Canon) ordered him to apologize.
- Gai (alongside Kyo) is also part of the audience of seeing Shu's mock battle with Ayase. He also shows sympathy towards Shu when the latter notices something familiar of a foreshadowed lost memory.
- Inori given character development early than back in canon was well received. Chapter II shows her offering Shu some food she's cooking.
- Chapter VI focuses on the family bonds with Funeral Parlor in their campfire moment. It shows Ayase and the others talking about their past and such.
