• What was the deal with the lamp in the bedroom? The protagonist grabs it and it shatters (and she cuts herself), but what was she hoping to do with it? Shown at the 5:00 point here.
  • Self-defense. With the lampshade removed and the bulb broken, she could’ve used it as a crudely improvised stabbing taser. Unfortunately, that’s when the strangers cut the power.
• How are the events "still not entirely known" if there is a survivor who could, presumably, tell everyone what happened?
  • There are two possibilities: 1) what we are witnessing is what Kristen remembers or 2, which is the most likely, Kristen died shortly after.
• Why would The Strangers leave Kristen alive? I mean, when Baghead sees Kristen still alive and crawling towards Mike's ringing cellphone, he just takes it out of her reach, not doing anything to ensure her passing despite her having seen their faces and being able to help police catch them for the assault on her and James' murder. WTF?
  • Purely Rule of Scary.
