- If wearing a white shirt to court is so important, why didn't Stone tell Nasir to wear one beforehand?
- He might have mentioned it for all we know, saying something like, "You'll need a nice, white, button-up shirt." But somewhere between Stone saying it and Naz's parents buying a shirt, someone didn't appreciate that Stone really meant it had to be white, not just a nice shirt.
- If Crowe was just representing Nasir for the sake of publicity, why was she so quick to try to strike a plea deal? Seems like a very anti-climactic and unremarkable thing to do that wouldn't gain much publicity... Compared to actually trying to defend an innocent man.
- She, like virtually everyone else, assumes that Naz was guilty and that it would be virtually impossible to get him free with a trial. By negotiating a "sweetheart" plea deal, she gets media coverage and credit for being a good lawyer with very little effort. Going go trial is a losing proposition. It would suck up her valuable time that she could be using on other cases that she can win, turn a big profit, and also get media attention.
- Then why take the case at all?
